Bitcoin remittance volume will reach $14.8 trillion or 556.8 million BTC by 2022. This was reported by Bitcoin Magazine analyst Dylan Leclair.
While the market value of BTC has fallen 65% over the past year, the total value of remittances has increased for both legal tender and bitcoin. This trend means that BTC is becoming a popular payment method worldwide.
Hodler’s share is also steadily increasing, already exceeding 66%, which means that coins managed by other participants in the network are increasingly being used for payments. The development of the Lightning Network’s second protocol has also contributed to Bitcoin’s recognition as a global payment method.
