Lubin then praised SEC Chair Gary Gensler for his efforts to drive decentralization. He noted that the actions of the agency have been “really great” and that Gensler is a “shining knight of decentralization,” which was met with jeers from the audience.
Despite this reaction, Lubin remained steadfast in his praise for Gensler, noting he has been instrumental in driving forward regulatory clarity – something which will help foster innovation within DeFi space and beyond.
He also highlighted how such guidance would help entrepreneurs create products without fear of enforcement action or fines down the line:
“That kind of clarity helps us move forward…it allows people to build things with confidence.”
